BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Looking for a good reason to visit a national park soon?
The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that National Park Week is on from April 19-27.
The more than 400 parks that are operated by the NPS will be open and hosting different events for park goers of all ages.
On Saturday, April 19, entrances fees will be waived at all national parks. April 19 is also National Junior Ranger Day, nodding at the program that allows young park goers to become Junior Rangers and earn their own badge.
National parks in the region include San Juan Island National Historic Park, Ebey’s Landing and the North Cascades National Park (reopens in May).
