WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new report breaks down the details of where workers are employed throughout Whatcom County.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics released its annual employment and wages report for the Bellingham metro area.

Data reflects employment by profession and salary as of May 2024.

Compared to the rest of the country, the greater Bellingham workforce employs more people in production, construction, and sales-related positions.

A detailed analysis shows that our region has a higher concentration of petroleum pump system and refinery operators than in other parts of the US.
