WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Making park reservations around Whatcom County is about to get a lot easier.

Parks and recreation says that online upgrades will be rolled out on Dec. 1, which is the same day reservations will open for 2027.

Future reservation availabilities will begin automatically updating daily instead of relying on an annual “opening day” to book for the year ahead.

Anyone looking to book a campsite, picnic shelter or other park facility will need to create an account and provide a license plate number to manage reservations.

The new site will also feature interactive park maps, as well as date and site availability notifications.

Those who already booked a parks facility in December will be able to link their reservation to their new account through the email used to book them.
