Mariners News

It’s all systems go for the Mariners’ biggest game in franchise history tonight.

They’re in Toronto to face the Blue Jays in Game 7 of the ALCS.

A win would send them to their first World Series ever, a loss would end their magical season.

George Kirby will take the mound tonight as he’ll try and help the M’s recover from a sloppy 6-2 loss in Game 6 last night.

Former Cy Young award winner Shane Bieber will get the start for the Blue Jays, who are seeking their first World Series appearance since 1993.

Coverage begins at 4:00 and first pitch is at 5:08 on KPUG.

Seahawks News

The Seahawks are also in action tonight, when they host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.

Seattle’s coming off a big win in Jacksonville last week that extended their nine-game road win streak.

But they’ll have to pick up their play at home, having won just two of their last ten games at Lumen Field.

A win tonight would also pull them into a three-way tie with the Rams and 49ers for first place in the NFC West.

Coverage begins at 5:00 and kickoff is at 7 on KGMI.

Huskies/Cougs News

The Huskies fell flat in a game that could have earned them a national ranking. Washington lost to Michigan 24-7 at the Big House on Saturday.

The two teams were tied at halftime, but the Wolverines took control by scoring touchdowns after picking off passes on back to back drives by the Huskies. Demond Williams Jr. finished with three interceptions as UW fell to 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in Big Ten play.

Next up, they’ll have a tough test at home against 23rd nationally ranked Illinois.

Meanwhile, the Cougs fell just short of a major upset for the second straight week. Washington State lost to No. 18 Virginia 22-20 on Saturday.

The Cavaliers stuffed Cougs running back Kirby Vorhees in his own endzone with just seconds remaining to get the go-ahead safety and lock up the win at home. Wazuu led by 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, but couldn’t hold on.

It was eerily similar to last week at Ole Miss, where the Cougs led nearly the whole game but fell in the final minutes against the 5th nationally ranked Rebels.

Washington State now falls to 3-4 on the season ahead of next week’s home match against Toledo.

Kraken News

The Kraken continue their road trip out East tonight with the first leg of a back-to-back.

The team’s in the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia Flyers. Seattle’s coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto on Saturday, thanks to a game-winner by Josh Mahura.

The Kraken still have yet to lose in regulation this season, owning a 3-0-2 record. They’ll look to keep it up tonight in Philly with 19-year-old top prospect Berkly Catton set to make his NHL debut.

Coverage begins at 3:30 and puck drops at 4:00 on KBAI.

Sounders/Reign News

The Sounders are officially playoff bound. Seattle beat New York City FC 2-1 on Saturday in their final match of the regular season.

The club had already locked up the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs before the game, so the outcome didn’t matter. But the Sounders were struck with a major blow when Pedro de la Vega was carted off with an apparent knee injury.

The postseason still goes on for Seattle, who will face 4th-seeded Minnesota United in the opening round of the MLS Cup Tournament. Game 1 of the best-of-three series will take place in St. Paul next Monday.

Meanwhile, the Reign clinched a playoff berth with their 2-1 win over the Utah Royals on Friday.

Seattle currently sits in fourth place in the league standings. They have one more regular season game against the Orlando Pride in November before starting their playoff journey.
