Mariners News
It’s win or go home for the Mariners tonight.
They’re hosting the Detroit Tigers for the decisive Game 5 of their divisional series. A win would send Seattle to its first ALCS since 2001.
The Mariners will look to rebound after collapsing in a 9-3 loss on Wednesday. George Kirby is getting the start for the M’s, while reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal is taking the mound for Detroit.
The winner of today’s game will move on to face the Toronto Blue Jays for the right to represent the American League in the World Series.
Coverage begins at 4:00 and first pitch is at 5:05 on KGMI. If the M’s win, Game 1 against the Blue Jays would take place at 5 pm on Sunday in Toronto.
Meanwhile, the rest of the MLB Playoff picture is becoming clearer in the National League.
The defending champion Dodgers beat the Phillies in extra innings last night to move on to the NLCS. There, they’ll face the winner of the Cubs and Brewers, who are playing in a decisive Game 5 tomorrow night in Milwaukee.

The Seahawks are gearing up for a big game this weekend. They’re travelling across the country to take on the 4-1 Jaguars in Jacksonville.
Seattle’s coming off a tight shootout loss to Tampa Bay that snapped their three-game win streak, while the Jags are coming off a short week after beating Kansas City on Monday Night Football.
The Seahawks could be a bit thin in their secondary again, as Pro Bowlers Devon Witherspoon and Julian Love have both been held out of practice this week with injuries. The 12’s will look to rebound on the road against a Jags team with a full head of steam after their primetime win.
Coverage begins at 8 am Sunday and kickoff is at 10 on KPUG.

Meanwhile, the Cougs are across the country as they enter their toughest game of the season. Washington State is playing 4th nationally ranked Ole Miss tomorrow morning.
The Cougs are coming off a 20-3 win over Colorado State where their defense dominated. They’ll need more of the same tomorrow in order to pull off a massive upset against the undefeated Rebels.
That game kicks off at 9:45 am from Oxford.
