The Kraken are looking to end their road trip on a high note in Winnipeg tonight. They’re playing the Jets in the final leg of their first road trip of the season.
The Kraken are coming off back-to-back losses to the Flyers and Capitals where they were outscored 9-3. The two losses snapped Seattle’s five-match point streak to open the season.
They’ll now seek to snap the Jets’ own five-game win streak. Coverage begins at 4:30 and puck drops at 5 on KPUG.

Three Mariners are in the running for the MLB’s Silver Slugger award.
Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez and Jorge Polanco were among the finalists that were announced today at each position. The Mariners were also one of three clubs in the American League to be nominated for the team award.
Seattle ranked third in the majors with 238 home runs over the regular season, led by a major league-leading 60 from Cal.
The winners will be announced on Nov. 7.

A massive gambling scandal has taken the NBA by storm.
Federal officials say Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier are among 34 people charged in connection with schemes involving illegal sports betting and rigged poker games backed by the Mafia.
Rozier is accused of participating in an illegal sports betting scheme using private insider NBA information. Billups is charged in a separate indictment alleging a wide-ranging scheme to rig underground poker games.
FBI Director Kash Patel the range of charges involve multiple mafia families and organized crime networks, with “mind-boggling” amounts of fraud.
The Portland Trail Blazers say assistant coach and former NBA player Tiago Splitter has been named as their interim head coach while the investigation continues.

Western’s men’s soccer team is looking to keep up its hot streak tonight in Bellingham.
The Viks are hosting Northwest Nazarene with a chance to extend its seven-match unbeaten streak. They currently sit atop the GNAC standings with an undefeated conference record, with Nazarene tied for second in the conference.
Their game starts at 7 pm from Harrington Field.
Meanwhile, the Western women can push their own unbeaten streak to 11 this afternoon at Saint Martin’s. The 11th-nationally ranked Viks haven’t lost since Sept. 10 while solidifying their first-place spot in the GNAC standings.
Their game got underway at 2:00 from Lacey.

A new round of high school football rankings just dropped in Washington ahead of Week 8.
In Class 2A Lynden fell to No. 6 in the latest AP poll after their blowout loss to Archbishop Murphy. Archbishop retained its place atop the state at number one. Anacortes moved up a spot to No. 5 and Sehome earned the No. 10 ranking.
In 1A, Mount Baker rose to No. 5 in the state following their win over Lynden Christian. The Lyncs dropped from No. 2 to No. 6 after suffering their first loss of the season.
Nooksack Valley moved up a spot to No. 9 after handling Meridian. They’ll have their hands full tomorrow night against undefeated Montesano, who came in at No. 4 in the state.
The Zone’s Friday Night Lights will be live at Nooksack Valley High School tomorrow for the Pioneers’ game on KPUG. We’ll also be airing Sehome’s cross-town rivalry match against Squalicum on KGMI.
Allan Fee and the crew will be previewing both those matchups and all the other ones happening around the county as the playoff race heats up with just two weeks left in the regular season.
Friday Night Lights pregame coverage begins at 3:00 and will be simulcast on KGMI starting at 6, leading up until the 7:00 kickoff for both games.
