Mariners News
The Mariners have the day off today as their rocky road trip continues.
George Kirby gave up eight runs over the first two innings in the shortest start of his career and the M’s fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 9-4 yesterday.
Julio Rodriguez hit a 3-run homer in the sixth inning and Cal Raleigh added an RBI single, but it was too little, too late as the M’s surrendered the series sweep.
The Rays matched a season high by winning their sixth straight game.
Seattle has now lost five of its six games on this current road trip ahead of their final road series in Atlanta.
Coverage for tomorrow’s series opener against the Braves begins at 3:00 and first pitch is at 4:15 on KGMI.
Seahawks News
The Seahawks have locked down one of their top offensive linemen.
ESPN reports that the team has agreed to terms with right tackle Abraham Lucas on a three-year, $46 million extension.
Lucas attended Archbishop Murphy in high school before going to college at Washington State.
The former 3rd-round pick started 16 games for Seattle in his rookie year, but has played just 13 games over the past two seasons while battling knee injuries.
His contract’s roughly $15 million average annual value makes him the 13th-highest paid right tackle in the league.

They’ll face a Cowboys team that just traded one of the league’s best defenders in edge rusher Micah Parsons to the Packers.

Kraken News
The Kraken just unveiled a new jersey that glows in the dark.
The team announced that it’s added a third team jersey, which is all black and features a glowing “S” in the center.
It’s a nod to the bioluminescence found in the waters of the Pacific Northwest.
Depending on the lighting, either the blue or red elements of the jersey stands out more against the stark black base.
The first game to feature them will be on Nov. 1 against the Rangers.
