KING COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Health officials are warning of potential measles exposure at several King and Snohomish County locations.
Public Health for Seattle and King County told FOX 13 that a Canadian tourist was recently diagnosed with the highly contagious disease following his visit.
He went to numerous locations during his 4-day trip including gyms, restaurants, home improvement stores and Sea-Tac Airport.
Health officials are asking people who may have been at one of 16 identified exposure locations between April 30 and May 3 to check their vaccination status.
Public Health for Seattle and King County adds that this case isn’t connected to the other five that were diagnosed earlier this year.
Measles is highly contagious and can remain in the air for up to two hours after an infected person has left.
