BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – While the weather outside may be frightful, but there are options if you or anyone you know need a place to stay on Christmas and Christmas Eve.

Severe weather shelters in Bellingham and Ferndale will both be open overnight on Dec. 24 and 45.

Bellingham’s shelter on N. Forest Street has check-in from 4-8 p.m. and checkout at 8 a.m. the following morning.

It has space for up to 60 guests and service or emotional support animals, with hot meals served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ferndale’s shelter on Washington Street has check-in from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and checkout at 9 a.m. the following morning.

It has 15 beds available, and pets are allowed inside the shelter.

The Lighthouse Mission on F Street remains open daily with check-in at 7 p.m. and check-out at 8 a.m..
