BELLINGHAM, WA – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Six passengers from the Alaska Airlines flight that lost a door plug in mid-air last week are suing Boeing.
King5 reports the passengers are seeking compensation for the incident that allegedly traumatized and physically injured some members of the flight.
The flight took off from Portland, Oregon and was on its way to Ontario, Calif. when the door plug blew off and left a gaping hole in the side of the plane.
The lawsuit states that passengers suffered bruises and the rapid pressure changes made some passengers’ ears bleed.
It claims Boeing delivered its 737 Max 9 jets to Alaska without following proper safety procedures.
Boeing CEO David Calhoun has called the incident a “quality escape” and told employees this “can never happen again.”
