BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Crews have finished their work to repair a gas leak in downtown Bellingham.
The Fire Department says that a construction company hit a 2-inch gas line while working on the Meador Avenue bridge the morning of Thursday, Sept. 12.
Cascade Natural Gas reported that they finished their repairs at 2:30 p.m.
They had asked nearby residents to evacuate or shelter in place while crews worked to repair the leak, which caused a strong odor throughout the area.
