SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A local organization is celebrating a generous donation following a vandalism incident.

The Humane Society of Skagit Valley says they’ve been gifted a used van from HF Sinclair’s Puget Sound Refinery.

A vandal stole the catalytic converter and damaged the exhaust pipes on the shelter’s van in August.

Team members were scheduled to make a delivery to Yakima on the day the theft was discovered.

HF Sinclair representatives packed the van with bags of dog food before dropping it off at the shelter Thursday, Oct. 1.
