ELLENSBURG, WA. – (MyBellinghamNow.com) The Western Washington University women’s basketball team stayed hot over the weekend.
The No. 19 ranked Vikings completed a regular-season sweep over in-state rival Central Washington University on Saturday with a 69-60 victory.
WWU was led by a career-high 30-point performance by junior guard and former Lynden Christian standout Riley Dykstra.
Dykstra was 11-for-16 shooting in the game and scored 23 of her 30 points in the second half.
The Vikings are now 19-4 overall with a 11-2 record in GNAC play.
They return home for the final two regular-season games and will host Western Oregon on Thursday, Feb. 15 and Saint Martin’s on Saturday, Feb. 17.
