Santa and helpers team up to collect donations for the Ferndale Food Bank

Santa will be joined by the Ferndale Fire Department once again for the annual "Santa Food Drive" the weekend of Dec. 13.

FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Santa will team up with the Ferndale Fire Department to drive through local neighborhoods and collect holiday donations.

Santa and his team will be accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations to give to the Ferndale Food Bank.

They have also added pet food to the list, which will be delivered to the Whatcom Humane Society. Open bags will be accepted, so long as the pet food is not expired.

Santa and his helpers will be decked out in festive gear as they visit Ferndale homes. The Santa Food Drive will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15.

Routes and maps are posted on Whatcom Seven Firefighters Facebook, along with a Santa Tracker to watch him and his helpers along their journey. Gather up donatable goodies and keep an eye out to spot Santa in your Ferndale neighborhood.
