SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Sedro-Woolley man has died more than a month after a motorcycle crash on North Cascades Highway.

The Washington State Patrol says 76-year-old Larry Hildebrand was riding westbound near O’Hara Road on Monday, Aug. 18 when his motorcycle slowed for an unknown reason and was struck from behind by an SUV.

Medics had airlifted Hildebrand to Harborview Medical Center at the time.

Hildebrand later died from his injuries. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office notified next of kin Monday, Sept. 28.

The SUV driver, a 44-year-old woman from Concrete, was not injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
