BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Road access to the Sehome Arboretum will reopen the weekend of Sept. 6.
The area was closed for vehicles on Sept. 2 and will reopen on Sept. 7. Crews have been improving roadways and sidewalks in relation to the House of Healing construction.
The House of Healing is a Coast Salish-style longhouse meant to provide support for Native American students.

The new building will serve as an educational center to promote healing, cultural exchange, and supportive understanding for the communities served by the university. It will include a gathering hall, indoor and outdoor kitchens, and student lounges.
Additional closures, including parking along 25th Street and Arboretum Drive, will continue as construction continues.
