WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Severe weather shelters are extending their operating hours across Whatcom County.

Whatcom County Health and Community Services says that their N Forest St. shelter will be open tonight, Feb. 6 through Tuesday Feb. 11.

Check-in is from 4 to 9 p.m. and guests must leave by 9 a.m. the following morning. The Lummi Nation’s shelter is also open for tribal members through next Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Ferndale’s severe weather shelter will be open through Sunday, Feb. 9, however their shelter isn’t accepting any more referrals at this time.

The Lighthouse Mission remains open every night, with check-in at 7 p.m. and check-out the next morning at 8 a.m.
