BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Biotoxin levels have receded to safer levels in Whatcom County waters.
Health and Community Services says that a shellfish harvesting ban has been lifted for beaches in Sandy Point and areas north.
That includes all of Drayton Harbor and Point Roberts.
Skagit Bay remains closed for harvesting, as it still has high reported levels of paralytic shellfish poisoning biotoxins.
Any shellfish harvesters are still being reminded to check the state’s closure map before they head out to dig.
