BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A local organization in Bellingham is holding its 6th Annual Holiday Gift Auction with a plethora of local businesses supporting their cause.

Shifting Gears is a program that looks to empower women through outdoor recreation and education opportunities. Their annual Holiday Gift Auction offers over 150 items and gifts that can be shipped anywhere in the United States.

The collection varies from gifts for kids and stocking stuffers to big-ticket items. There are local gift cards or membership opportunities, jewelry, art, books and collectibles available. Stones Throw Brewery in Fairhaven has offered a two-night stay at their guest house in Bellingham.

Items listed have both a starting bid price option and a “buy now” button. The market value of items is listed, and those who bid will not be contacted until the auction is over. As of Dec., 2 Shifting Gears is at 30% of its goal, with one more week to go and 95 items without bids.

A donation link is also available for those who are not interested in bidding on an item but still want to support Shifting Gears. All donations made during the auction will be matched by a local Bellingham business.
