BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Daylight saving time is back and its time to adjust your clocks.
The majority of the country will spring ahead one hour this Sunday at 2 a.m.
Clocks in Hawai’i and Arizona will remain the same, as will several U.S. territories including Guam and Puerto Rico. Efforts to eliminate the biennial switch have stalled at both the state and federal levels over the past few years.
Daylight saving time also heralds recommendations from fire officials about checking your smoke detectors to make sure they still work.
The National Fire Protection Association says that most fire fatalities occur in homes where smoke alarms aren’t installed.
