BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two more local businesses in Bellingham fell victim to burglaries over the weekend.
The Sandwich Odyssey says someone broke in on the night of Saturday, Dec. 21, and stole cash tips and beer from the shop. The suspect started a small fire when they appeared to have tried breaking the lock to the door with welding equipment, but ended up breaking in through a window.
Monday, Dec. 23, was supposed to be the shop’s last open day before its holiday break, but it will now be closed through Jan. 1 while it repairs the damages.
Soy House in downtown Bellingham also says someone broke in early on Monday morning. Luckily, nothing was stolen thanks to their alarm and a quick police response.
The burglaries come after the Barber Shack reported that someone made off with thousands of dollars in cash and tools following another break-in on Dec. 18.
Two more businesses in Fairhaven – Serendipity and Fairhaven Runners & Walkers – were also the target of break-ins the previous weekend.
