BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – From sports bars to breweries, watch parties are taking place all over Whatcom County this Sunday, Feb. 9 for Super Bowl LIX.
Whether you watch the big game for the love of football or merely for the commercials, folks from around the region can find themselves welcomed at any of these establishments this Sunday.
92.9 KISM Watch Parties
The region’s leading rock station 92.9 KISM is hosting two watch parties this Super Bowl. Our friends who hang out with us every morning on the Brad & John Show (Brad Cash and John Reynolds) will be watching the big game at the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale.
Join Brad & John for food and drinks starting at 2 p.m.
Our afternoon pal Guy Ovenell will be kicking back at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge in Anacortes. The fun begins at 1:30 p.m. with a buffet of food.
The Score
For our Ferndale readers (or anyone who enjoys a properly lit sports bar and elevated bar food) head on up to The Score on Main Street in Ferndale to take part in their Super Bowl watch party.
The Score has cooked up some food and drink specials unique to this year’s game including a “Hands of Mahomie” and “Tush Push” cocktail.
The Score is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. so gear up for an all-day experience in Ferndale.
Aslan Depot
If you want to spend the afternoon in downtown Bellingham, Aslan Depot is hosting a watch party full of wings, nachos and pitchers. Enjoy Aslan’s renowned “Disco Lemonade” or their N/A Sparkling Hop Water.
The watch party begins at 3 p.m. at The Depot.
Kulshan Brewing – K2 Location
Every Sunday during football season, folks can always rely on the Kulshan Brewing K2 location in the Roosevelt Neighborhood to show NFL games. Nothing is changing for this year’s Super Bowl as they will be open and showing the big game and pouring beer all afternoon.
JUXT Taphouse
If you are looking for a 360 Super Bowl experience, head over to JUXT Taphouse on Holly Street in downtown Bellingham. The taphouse, known for its pre-mixed cocktails, local beer and food will be playing the game on all seven of its screens with the sound on.
From everyone in the newsroom at My Bellingham Now, we hope you enjoy this year’s Super Bowl wherever you watch the game.
