A familiar name from Pac-12 football could be joining the Seahawks.

Current UCLA head coach and former Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly interviewed with Seattle for their offensive coordinator job last night.

Kelly spent three seasons as head coach of the Eagles before joining the 49ers for a season in 2016.

He joins a list of names rumored for the next Seahawks offensive coordinator that includes former Washington Huskies OC Ryan Grubb.

Another member of this Seahawks receiver’s family is coming to Seattle.

The Mariners claimed outfielder Canaan Smith-Njigba off waivers today.

He’s the brother of Seahawks first-round pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who just finished up a strong rookie season with the team.

24-year-old Canaan has appeared in 18 MLB games over the past two seasons, where he went 5 for 37 with five RBIs and three runs scored for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
