The Kraken are finding themselves in the midst of a losing streak just days after setting the franchise record for consecutive wins.

Seattle lost to the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 last night on KGMI after starting the game with a 2-0 lead.

The Oilers responded with three unanswered goals in the second period and an insurance score in the third to extend their winning streak to a franchise-record 12 games.

It’s the Kraken’s third straight loss after going on a 9-game win streak.

They now head back to Seattle to play the Toronto Maple Leafs Sunday for the first of a four-game homestand.

Plenty of college hoops action last night…

Moses Wood hit a 3 at the buzzer to lift the Washington Huskies over Cal-Berkeley 77-75 last night on KPUG.

Keion Brooks Jr. scored a game-high 21 points in the win.

The come-from-behind win gives Washington six straight wins over the Golden Bears and 10 wins in the last 13 meetings.

The Western Washington University women’s team edged Saint Martin’s 52-49 to win their fourth-straight game.

Both teams struggled in the first half, with the Vikings pulling out to a 17-14 lead.

Scoring picked up in the second half and a clutch go-ahead 3-pointer by Maddy Grandbois with 36 seconds left secured the win for Western Washington.

Grandbois finished with 7 of her 9 points in the fourth quarter.

Junior guard Olivia Wikstrom led the team with 14 points.

The 14th nationally ranked Vikings now improve to 13-3 and 5-1 against GNAC opponents.

Meanwhile, the Vikings men’s team snapped their three-game skid with a 92-83 win over Alaska Anchorage.

Senior forward Jonathan Ned added 23 points in the win.

The Vikings were scorching hot from 3-point land, making 10 of their 20 attempts.

The team now improves to 11-6 on the season and evens their in-conference record to 3-3.
