The praise is pouring in for Mariners legend Ichiro Suzuki after he was officially voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday.

Shortly after the announcement, the team announced that it will retire his No. 51 jersey in a pre-game ceremony on Aug. 9.

The Mariners are also planning a full week of giveaways surrounding the ceremony, where they’ll give away Ichiro Hall of Fame Funko POPs, Ichiro jerseys and replicas of his Hall of Fame plaque.

Suzuki joins Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez as the only players that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame as Mariners.

His induction ceremony in Cooperstown is scheduled for July 27.

The Seahawks’ search for a new offensive coordinator is heating up.

ESPN reports that Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley had his second interview with Seattle yesterday.

With the Lions’ playoff run now over, Fraley was able to get his first in-person interview with the team.

He joins New Orleans offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and Vikings assistant OC Grant Udinski as the only candidates to advance to the second round of interviews.
