Former Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers will remain at the University of Washington for the upcoming season.
Rogers told ESPN that he will exit the transfer portal after entering it following the news of Kalen DeBoer’s departure from the school.
Rogers previously transferred to UW after four seasons at Mississippi State where he became the SEC’s No. 2 all-time leading passer.
Rogers threw for over 12,000 yards in his four years with the Bulldogs.
He said new coach Jedd Fisch’s NFL experience was a factor in his decision to return.
The Seattle Kraken will look to put an end to their losing streak tonight.
They’re hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in the midst of a 4-game skid for the Kraken.
The Blackhawks are tied for the worst record in the league.
They’ve won just 4 of their 25 road games this season.

Former Mariners third baseman Adrian Beltre is among three new members of the baseball Hall of Fame.
Beltre spent five of his 21 MLB seasons with the Mariners.
He received 95% of the votes on his first ballot appearance.
Beltre is joined by Todd Helton and Joe Mauer as the new inductees on their way to Cooperstown.

LC girls got a more pronounced win with a 71-29 drubbing of Lakewood.
Squalicum boys topped Oak Harbor 71-50.
Squalicum girls followed with a 51-42 win over Oak Harbor.
Mount Baker boys fell to Sedro-Woolley 67-45.
Mount Baker girls lost to Sedro-Woolley too, 61-40.
And the Ferndale girls beat Mount Vernon 57-48.
Meanwhile, two of the top teams in the Northwest Conference are facing off tonight.
Two-time state tournament MVP Anthony Canales and the Lynden Lions are hosting arguably the top junior in the state in Davis Fogle and the Anacortes Seahawks at 7:15.
