The Seattle Kraken are hosting the St. Louis Blues tonight in the third of a four-game homestand.

It will be Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz’s 700th career NHL game.

The Blues are riding a 3-game win streak, while the Kraken are coming off a 6-2 win over the Blackhawks where they snapped a 4-game skid.

St. Louis won the previous meeting 2-1 in a shootout.

The Western Washington University women’s team extended their win streak to six straight last night.

They beat Seattle Pacific 73-61 behind 20 points from senior Brooke Walling.

Senior Stephanie Peterson also filled up the stat sheet, she had 15 points,10 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with 5 steals and 3 blocks.

The Vikings remain a perfect 9-0 at home as they improve to 15-3 on the season.

They have a big game tomorrow against 9th-ranked Montana-State Billings right here at Carver Gym.

 

Meanwhile, the men’s team struggled in Ellensburg.

They lost to Central Washington 97-75 to snap their brief 3-game win streak.

Kai Johnson scored 23 and Will Wilson added 19 in the loss.

They now fall to 12-7 on the season and 4-4 in conference play.

The Squalicum boys edged Lakewood 47-46 on KPUG.

Squalicum girls notched a 63-32 win over Lakewood.

The Nooksack Valley girls beat Mount Vernon 74-24 to push their win streak to nine on KGMI.

Nooksack boys fell to Mount Vernon 81-56.

And the Lynden Christian boys handled Sehome 69-44.
