Meanwhile, San Francisco sits just a game behind Seattle for the division lead despite losing three of their last four games.

A key Mariner is revealed to have been playing hurt throughout the season.
Sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan that M’s second baseman Jorge Polanco has undergone surgery to repair the patellar tendon in his left knee.
He’s expected to be ready by the end of spring training.
Polanco has struggled with knee pain in recent years and when it became more of a problem last season, sources say he tried to play through it.
He went on to hit a career-low batting average of .213 with a career high 137 strikeouts in his first season with Seattle.
Polanco’s future with the Mariners is currently unknown.
The team holds a $12 million club option with a $750,000 buyout and has to decide whether to pick it up in early November.
