The Kraken capped off their first road trip of the season with a statement win last night.
Seattle beat the Nashville Predators 7-3 in their highest scoring game of the young season.
It was tied at 3-3 heading into the third period, but the Kraken lit the Predators up for four unanswered goals to coast to the win.
All seven of Seattle’s goals throughout the match came from different players.
It came against a Nashville team that has yet to win a game this season.
The Kraken now return to Seattle with an even 2-2 record.
They’re back tomorrow to host the Philadelphia Flyers with a 7 pm start time on KGMI.
Another defender bites the dust for the injury-riddled Seahawks defense.
The team placed starting safety Rayshawn Jenkins on the injured reserve today.
Jenkins has played every snap this season, but has been wearing a cast over his left hand in each of the past two games.
K’Von Wallace and Coby Bryant will fill in at safety for Jenkins, who will return in Week 12 at the earliest.
It’s another blow to a Seahawks defense that just placed edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu and cornerback Artie Burns on the IR, and has been without first-round rookie Byron Murphy II for the past three games.
The preseason college basketball rankings are out and a future member of the Pac-12 is earning plenty of respect.
Gonzaga placed sixth in the first AP Top 25 poll of the season, even garnering one first-place vote.
The powerhouse Zags are set to join the Pac-12 conference in summer 2026.
No other schools from Washington made the rankings and none of them even received a vote in the preseason poll.
And we’ve got a pair of great games coming up this week for Friday Night Lights.
Allan Fee and The Zone are headed to Lynden High School for a matchup of two of the top four ranked Class 2A teams in the state.
Blake Vandalen and his Lynden Lions are hosting 6-0 Archbishop Murphy, who are coming off a win over Anacortes that snapped the Seahawks’ 18-game win streak.
The 5-1 Lions enter the game after completing two late game comebacks in back-to-back weeks.
That game will be aired on KPUG.
Meanwhile, a classic rivalry is being renewed in Bellingham.
Sehome and Bellingham High School are going head-to-head in their first matchup in over five years at Civic Stadium.
That game will be aired on KGMI.
Friday Night Lights coverage on The Zone will run from 3-7 and will be simulcast on KGMI starting at 6.
It will bring you right up until kickoff for both games at 7:00.
