Courtney Olsen set a women’s 50-mile world record of 5 hours, 31 minutes and 56 seconds at the Tunnel Hill 50 Mile in Vienna, IL on Saturday.
She beat the previous record by nearly 8 and a half minutes, which had stood for 33 years.
Olsen is also set to compete with Team USA in December.
The 37-year-old’s record-breaking performance boils down to an average pace of 6 minutes and 39 seconds per mile.
