The Seattle Seahawks are on a bye this week.

First-year head coach Mike Macdonald will look to regroup his team after losing five of their last six games, including a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Rams last Sunday.

The Seahawks have been led by their air attack under former University of Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb.

Geno Smith leads the league in passing yards per game, but they have yet to balance it with a rushing attack that ranks sixth-worst in the league.

Seattle’s run defense has also struggled, allowing the sixth most rush yards of any team.

The 4-5 Seahawks have fallen to last in the NFC West division after starting out with a 3-0 record.

They’ll look to regain ground in a rematch against division rival San Francisco after the bye.

The Huskies are facing their greatest challenge of the season tomorrow.

UW is on the road to face 6th nationally ranked Penn State in front of a packed white-out crowd at Beaver Stadium.

The Huskies are just 3-3 in Big Ten conference play, but are coming off an impressive win over USC last weekend.

Time is running out for Jedd Fisch and his Huskies to secure a bowl game appearance.

They just need one more win with only three games left in the season.

Coverage for tomorrow’s game will begin right after Lynden Christian’s play-in game finishes and the Huskies kick off at 5 pm on KPUG.

The Cougs have a late 7:30 pm kickoff tomorrow from Pullman.

The Kraken are back home tonight as they look to put an end to their recent woes.

They’ll be in for a challenge tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights, who lead the Pacific Division and have won six of their last seven.

Coverage begins at 6:30 and puck drops at 7 tonight on KGMI.

Western Washington University’s men’s soccer team extended its winning streak to seven matches last night.

That pushed them about a game behind Western Oregon for first place in the GNAC standings.

The Vikings will have a chance to overtake them in their regular season finale next Thursday in Bellingham for Senior Night.

Meanwhile, the women’s team played Seattle Pacific to a 1-1 tie last night.

It ended an 8-game win streak for the Lady Viks, but extended their unbeaten streak to 13.

They’ll begin the conference tournament this Thursday.
