The Chicago Sun-Times reported last night that Jewell Loyd has requested a trade from the Seattle Storm.
It comes after the Storm announced that an investigation into reports of harassment and bullying by the team’s coaching staff had concluded without finding any violations.
Sources tell ESPN that it was Loyd who filed the complaint, but none of the specific allegations have been revealed yet.
Loyd is a 6x All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist.
She led the league in scoring two seasons ago and just signed a two-year extension with Seattle in September 2023.
Major League Baseball’s commissioner is suggesting we could see a massive change to the game.
Robert Manfred recently told “The Varsity” podcast that the idea of implementing the “Golden At-Bat” is gaining steam among owners.
The Golden At-Bat would allow teams to pinch-hit any hitter at any time of the game.
Each team can only use the Golden Batter once per game.
Manfred went on to say that the rule is in the conversation-only stage at this point.

The Nooksack boys went on to beat Sultan by the exact same score.
The Blaine girls topped Friday Harbor 40-24 and the Blaine boys followed with a 61-40 win over Friday Harbor.
The Mount Baker girls beat Orcas Island 43-29 and the Baker boys handled Orcas Island as well by a score of 68-50.
The Lynden Christian boys doubled up Holy Cross Regional Secondary 84-41.
And the Bellingham girls edged Marysville-Getchell 34-26.
