The Seattle Kraken snapped their brief losing streak last night.
Tomas Tatar scored the game-winner in a shootout as the Kraken edged the New York Islanders 2-1.
The Kraken got off to a 1-0 lead in the first period before the Islanders tied it up in the second.
Both teams were held silent in the third before Tatar scored the lone goal in shootouts.
Seattle ended their three-game skid with the win.
They’ll wrap up their East Coast road trip tomorrow with a tough challenge against the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins.
The Seattle Seahawks have officially announced seven additions to this season’s coaching staff.
Alongside coordinators Ryan Grubb, Aden Durde and Jay Harbaugh, the Seahawks finalized contracts with assistant head coach Leslie Frazier, former UW offensive line coach Scott Huff, inside linebacker coach Kirk Olivadotti and defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Karl Scott.

The Vikings were scheduled to host Western Oregon University at 7 p.m., but Western Oregon announced yesterday that they were forfeiting the contest.
No additional details have been released.
Per GNAC policy, the Vikings will receive a win towards the conference standings.

The top-seeded Lummi Nation boys beat Crescent 53-27 in the 1B district quarterfinals to qualify for the state regionals.
The win sets them up against Tulalip Heritage on Friday in the district semifinals.
Lummi girls followed with a 40-28 win over Evergreen Lutheran in their 1B district quarterfinal.
They now move on to face top-seeded Neah Bay on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Sehome girls kept their season alive.
The fourth-seeded Mariners edged Anacortes 45-38 to advance to a must-win game against third-seeded Burlington-Edison in the 2A district tournament consolation bracket.
Winner of that game will play the loser of tonight’s Lynden vs Archbishop Murphy for a chance to go to the state tournament.
Burlington-Edison ended the Squalicum girls’ season last night with a 61-31 drubbing of the Storm.
