The Seattle Kraken are capping off their East Coast road trip tonight.

They’re taking on the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins

Despite owning the conference’s best record, the Bruins have lost three of their last four games.

The Kraken are recovering from a rough stretch in which they lost 8 of 10.

They’ll look to carry over momentum from Tuesday’s shootout win over the Islanders.

Coverage for today’s game begins at 3:30 and puck drops at 4:00 on KPUG.

Former University of Washington basketball standout and Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart was arrested for assault last night after punching Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks.

The altercation occurred at the arena in Phoenix hours before the teams played.

Phoenix police say Stewart was arrested, issued a citation and then released.

He was already listed as out for the game due to a sprained left ankle.

Geno Smith will remain a Seahawk, at least for now.

Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Smith will remain on the Seahawks roster through this week.

The decision will allow Smith to collect his $12.7 million base salary for next season.

The Seahawks have until March 18 to trade him amid speculation at their quarterback position.

The Washington Huskies men’s basketball team is on the radio tonight.

They’re hosting Stanford in the second meeting between the teams this season.

The Huskies suffered a 90-80 loss to the Cardinal in January.

They’ll look to even up the score in Seattle tonight.

Coverage begins at 5:30 and tipoff is at 6:00 on KGMI.

Meanwhile, the Western Washington University men’s team is also in action tonight.

They’re playing at Alaska Fairbanks in the first of a two-game road trip up north.

The Vikings are fighting for a spot in the GNAC Championships.

They’re currently tied for the final spot in the six-team playoff with five games left in the season.

The team has struggled against GNAC opponents so far.

The Vikings started off the season 9-3, but have gone 5-7 since hitting conference play.

Alaska Fairbanks owns the second-worst record in the GNAC.

Tonight’s game tips off at 8:30.

Running down the high school basketball scores from last night…

It was a great night for the Lynden Lions, as both top-seeded teams booked their ticket to the state tournament.

The girls started the night with a 66-45 statement win over second-seeded Archbishop Murphy to defend the 2A District 1 championship.

Freshman guard Finley Parcher scored the first 13 points for the Lions.

They held a slim 33-32 lead at halftime.

But Lynden gave up just 13 points in the second half to secure the district title.

Parcher finished with a game-high 25 points on the night.

Sophomore guard Payton Mills added 18 in the win.

The Lynden boys followed them with a 64-43 drubbing of second-seeded Cedarcrest.

The Lions went almost four minutes without a point to open the game, but finished the quarter with a 13-8 lead and never looked back.

Senior guard Anthony Canales scored a game-high 33 points in the win.

It was the Lynden boys’ second district title in the last three seasons.

Cedarcrest will go on to face the winner of Anacortes vs. Lakewood for a chance to go to state.

Coming up tonight…

The fourth-seeded Sehome girls are fighting for their season in a win-or-go-home game against third-seeded Burlington Edison.

Winner of that game will face Archbishop Murphy with a spot in the state tournament on the line.

The Mariners tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon High School.
