A former Seahawk is leaving the NFL.

Mike Davis announced his retirement on his 31st birthday today.

Davis had over 3,000 yards and 14 touchdowns throughout his career as a running back with six teams over eight seasons.

He spent two of those seasons in Seattle, where he played 21 games and scored five touchdowns.

Western Washington University’s cheer team earned national attention over the weekend.

They won the title in the Fight Song Division at the USA Collegiate Gameday National Championships in Anaheim, California.

They also took second-place in the situational cheer division.

It’s their second straight year winning a national title.

Shoutout to the Whatcom County prep swimmers.

Three local swimmers combined for four state championships over the weekend in Federal Way.

Bellingham senior Miles Cratsenberg won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events.

Sehome senior Jack Legan won the one-meter dive.

And Squalicum sophomore Dylan Fisk took home hardware for the 100-yard butterfly.
