The team announced today that 43-year-old offensive tackle Jason Peters is retiring after 21 years in the league.
General manager John Schneider adds that Peters has taken a job with their front office as a “veteran mentor” in player engagement and development.
Peters was a nine-time Pro Bowler and was named to two All-Pro teams.
He won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018 before spending the last two seasons of his career in Seattle.
The news comes as Schneider says the team will meet with Geno Smith’s agent this week to discuss a possible extension for their starting quarterback.

Taurasi won three WNBA championships and a league MVP, helping her case to be voted as the “Greatest of All Time” by fans during the league’s 25th season in 2021.
