The M’s won Saturday’s game 5-3 thanks to home runs by Jorge Polanco and Luis Urias and a strong outing by Bryce Miller.

But Emerson Hancock gave up 8 runs in just under four innings yesterday in their 12-4 loss to Milwaukee to lose the series.

The M’s will look to rebound today with Ty France back in the lineup after missing last series on paternity leave.

He’ll try to extend his six-game hit streak in his first game back.

The Kraken picked up a win over the weekend.

They beat Anaheim 3-1 for their third win over the Ducks in 10 days.

Shane Wright scored Seattle’s first two goals for the first two-goal game of his career.

Wright, the fourth pick in the 2022 draft, has three goals in three games since being recalled from the AHL on Sunday.

Matty Beneirs also scored for his 100th career point.

The Kraken have won four of their last six ahead of tomorrow night’s match against the Arizona Coyotes.

The Sounders finally got their first win of the season.

They beat CF Montreal 5-0 on Saturday behind two first-half goals from Raul Ruidiaz.

Stefan Frei had two saves for his first clean sheet of the season.

It was a much-needed win for the Sounders, who had scored just four goals in their previous five games.

They now improve to 1-2-3 ahead of next Saturday’s game against FC Dallas.

 

Western Washington University’s softball team kept up their hot play over the weekend.

They swept Simon Fraser in a four game series to get their 30th win of the season in the fewest number of games it’s ever taken them to reach that mark.

They also moved into first place in the GNAC standings with a 30-4 record and 10-2 in conference play.

The 12th-nationally ranked Viks extended their win streak to 13 games to match a program record.

They’ll look to set that record this Friday against Montana State Billings.

 

And on the radio tonight, it’s the last college basketball game of the season.

The South Carolina women beat Iowa yesterday to put a stamp on their perfect 38-0 season.

Tonight, the defending champion UConn men play Purdue in a matchup of two No. 1 seeds.

Purdue’s Zach Edey has won multiple awards for the best player in the nation this season.

He’ll face his biggest challenge yet in the Huskies’ star center Donovan Clingan.

UConn will look to become the first repeat champions in college basketball since Florida in 2007.
