In boys soccer, top-seeded Sehome beat fifth-seeded East Valley of Yakima 2-1 in the 2A state tournament semifinals to advance to the championship game tomorrow against Franklin Pierce.
In baseball, sixth-seeded Lynden had their season ended this morning in a 2-0 loss to second-seeded Columbia River in the 2A state semifinals.
Sixth-seeded Meridian is currently battling second-seeded Cedar Park Christian in the 1A semifinals at Joe Martin Field.
In softball, 12th-seeded Lynden upset fifth-seeded SF West 5-4 to move on to the 2A state tournament quarterfinals.
They’re currently playing fourth-seeded Port Angeles for a chance to move on to the Final Four.
Second-seeded Mount Baker edged sixth-seeded Cascade Christian 8-7 to advance to the 1A state tournament semifinals.
And Ski2Sea is almost here!
500 teams will ski, run, bike, canoe and kayak themselves 93 miles across Whatcom County in the 51st annual race this Sunday.
The ski leg was previously in jeopardy due to a low snowpack, but organizers recently confirmed that the race will go on as normally scheduled.
