The Bellingham Bells are in Wenatchee for the North Division Championship tonight.

They’re facing the AppleSox for a chance to advance to the West Coast League championship game.

The AppleSox boast the strongest hitting in the league after finishing first in batting average, runs scored and total bases during the regular season.

But they’re facing a stingy Bells pitching staff that allowed just four total runs to Edmonton across their three-game series in the first round of the playoffs.

The teams split their regular season series, taking three games apiece, though the AppleSox did finish three games ahead of the Bells in the North Division standings.

You can watch tonight’s game live via the West Coast League’s streaming site or go to Zeeks Pizza for a Bells fans watch party.

First pitch is at 6:35 from Paul Thomas Field in Wenatchee.

On the other side of the bracket, the 7x defending champion Corvallis Knights are looking to extend their reign against the Portland Pickles in the South Division Championship.

The Mariners are looking for revenge tonight after suffering their worst loss of the season.

The M’s were dismantled by the Tigers last night in a 15-1 loss that saw them manage just three hits.

AL Cy Young frontrunner Tarik Skubal tossed six innings of one-run ball to earn his league-leading 14th win of the season.

George Kirby didn’t even last four innings and the Tigers used five home runs and 20 hits to take the series opener in Detroit.

On the bright side, Julio Rodriguez got his first hit since coming back from a high ankle sprain that sidelined him for three weeks.

The M’s are looking to even up the series tonight with Bryan Woo taking the mound.

Coverage begins at 2:30 and first pitch is at 3:40 on KPUG.

The Mariners’ top prospect impressed in his debut in Everett.

19-year-old shortstop Colt Emerson is the 14th-ranked prospect in the league and Seattle’s top minor leaguer, per Baseball America.

He went 2-5 with a home run in the AquaSox’ 8-2 win last night.

Emerson was chosen with the 22nd pick in last year’s MLB draft.

The Minnesota Vikings have ruled rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy out for the season.

The 10th overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft had to undergo surgery after suffering a torn meniscus in his right knee in a preseason game on Saturday.

Huskies fans will remember McCarthy dicing up UW’s defense in the national title game last January.

It’s widely expected that the Vikings will roll with veteran Sam Darnold as their new starter for the upcoming season.

Western Washington has some representation in the upcoming Little League World series, but they need some help to make it there.

The South Hill Little League baseball team in Puyallup clinched a trip to the World Series in Williamsport, PA last week.

And while the young athletes are receiving an all-expenses-paid trip there, their families still need money to make the trip and cover costs.

They’ve currently raised just over half of the $50,000 goal on fundraising site 99 pledges.

The team plays their tournament-opener on Friday evening.
