The Mariners are back tonight as they host the American League-leading Yankees in the first of a three-game series.

The M’s are coming off three straight wins against the Rangers.

They’ve dragged themselves back to four games behind the Astros for the AL West division lead and two games behind the Twins for the final Wild Card spot.

New York, meanwhile, holds a three-game lead in the AL East and has won four of their last five games.

They feature sluggers Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, who have combined for 92 homers this season.

Bryan Woo is on the mound tonight as he looks to improve on his impressive 8-2 record.

Coverage begins at 5:30 and first pitch is at 6:40 on KPUG.

The Falcons edged the Eagles 22-21 last night on Monday Night Football.

Kirk Cousins led a late-game drive and connected with Drake London on a 7-yard touchdown with 34 seconds left to complete the comeback win.

The Eagles had a chance to ice the game on the previous possession, but star running back Saquon Barkley dropped a short pass that stopped the clock and forced the Eagles to settle for a field goal instead of a game-sealing first down.

It was the Eagles first loss of the season, making the Seahawks now one of just nine teams in the league with an undefeated 2-0 record.

Speaking of the Hawks, a major development was just announced ahead of their Sunday game against the Dolphins.

Miami placed their starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the injured reserve today after he suffered another concussion in last Thursday’s loss to Buffalo.

That means Tua has to miss at least four games, which will give third-year backup Skylar Thompson the start against Seattle.

Thompson didn’t play last season, but started three games as a rookie in 2022, including a playoff loss to the Bills where he threw two picks.

Mike Macdonald and the Seahawks’ defense will look to capitalize on his inexperience at Lumen Field on Sunday.

The Seattle Reign fell to Gotham FC 2-0 yesterday in the NWSL’s first Monday night match of the season.

The loss snapped both the Reign’s three-game win streak and their seven-game unbeaten streak.

They now fall to 11th place in the league with a 5-10-5 record.
