The Seahawks are looking to get off to a 3-0 start under Mike Macdonald when they host the Miami Dolphins this Sunday.

Seattle is coming off an overtime win in New England where Geno Smith and their passing game excelled, but their run game struggled.

Star running back Kenneth Walker is likely to miss his second straight game after missing this week’s practices with an oblique injury.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks’ offensive line could get some reinforcements with starting right tackle George Fant being a limited participant in practices after he didn’t play in last week’s game.

Los Angeles Dodgers sensation Shohei Ohtani has made Major League Baseball history.

Ohtani hit three home runs last night to become the first-ever player to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a season.

He showed out in the Dodgers’ 20-4 romping of the Marlins, going 6-6 at the plate with 10 RBI and four runs scored.

 

The Washington Huskies are venturing into Big Ten conference play for the first time tomorrow.

UW is hosting Northwestern in the Huskies’ inaugural season as a member of the conference.

Jedd Fisch and the team will look to rebound from a tight loss to Washington State in the Apple Cup last weekend that saw them fall to 2-1 on the season.

Speaking of Washington State, the Cougs are hoping to ride the momentum of their dramatic Apple Cup victory into Pullman tonight.

Wazzu is hosting San Jose State as they wade into their stretch of games against Mountain West conference opponents.

The 3-0 Cougs have been led by sophomore quarterback John Mateer, who leads the nation in rushing yards by a quarterback with 314.

They’re knocking on the door of the AP Top 25 after receiving the 31st most votes in the latest poll.

The Seattle Storm are beginning their hunt for the WNBA championship this weekend.

The Storm are facing the back-to-back defending champion Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the playoffs.

Seattle finished with a 25-15 record in the regular season to earn the fifth seed in the eight-team playoff.

They’ll have their hands full with reigning MVP A’ja Wilson, who set the single-season records for points and rebounds earlier this month.

They’re traveling to Anacortes to face the reigning 2A champion Seahawks.
