The Huskies are wading deeper into the Big Ten waters tonight in their first season as part of the conference.

UW is out East to play Rutgers after mowing down Northwestern in their Big Ten debut last week.

The Huskies’ current eight-game win streak on the road is tied for fourth-longest in the nation and they’re looking to win their 17th straight conference game.

On the other side, the Scarlet Knights are hoping to get off to their first 4-0 start since 2012.

That game has a 5 pm kickoff.

Meanwhile, the Cougs will have a chance to make their move into the AP Top 25.

They’re on the road facing 25th ranked Boise State in a game with major implications on the newly-expanded 12-team playoff.

The Cougs are just outside the rankings, having received the 26th most votes in the latest poll, just two votes behind Boise State.

Wazzu will look to once again find success behind sophomore quarterback sensation John Mateer, who ranks top 15 in the nation in both passing and rushing yards.

Kickoff is at 7 pm tomorrow.

We’re getting new updates on the plethora of injuries the Seahawks are facing as they travel to Detroit for Monday Night Football.

Star running back Kenneth Walker III was limited in practice again as he tries to return from an oblique injury that has sidelined him for the past two games.

Meanwhile, there are lots of concerns on defense for Seattle.

Boye Mafe, Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy and Uchenna Nwosu were all non-participants for the second straight day.

The Mariners are beginning their final series of the season tonight as they host the Oakland Athletics.

Seattle was officially eliminated from playoff contention yesterday, but will still look to end their season on a high note.

They enter the series with an 82-77 record and beat Oakland 6 games to 4 earlier in the season.

Breakout starter Bryan Woo is making his last start tonight to help get the M’s off strong.

Coverage begins at 6:00 and first pitch is at 7:10 on KGMI

And there’s plenty of high school football action tonight as we enter Week 4 of the season…

Lynden is in Anacortes tonight to face the defending 2A champion Seahawks.

Anacortes has won their last 16 games, but last year’s 15-8 win over Lynden was the closest game of that stretch.

It will be a matchup of undefeated giants in the 2A Northwest Conference.

Kickoff is at 7:00 on KPUG with Jim Bring and Dan Kaemingk on the call.

Meanwhile, Bellingham is hosting Archbishop Murphy at Civic Stadium.

Bellingham has had a rough welcome back to the NWC, losing both of their in-conference games on the way to an 0-3 start.

They’re in for another challenge tonight against an Archbishop team that’s coming off an impressive blowout win over Squalicum last week.

Kickoff is also at 7:00 on KBAI with Randy Farmer and Rick Todd on the call.

All the other Whatcom County teams are traveling tonight…

Nooksack Valley is on the road against the previous 2A runner-ups Tumwater.

Meridian is at Forks.

Mount Baker is at Sultan.

Blaine is at Granite Falls.

Sehome is at Burlington-Edison.

Ferndale is at Mount Vernon.

And Lummi is at Tulalip Heritage.

Prep football is back in the county tomorrow though, as Lynden Christian hosts Lakeside by 9 mile at 3 pm and Squalicum hosts Lakewood 7.
