ANACORTES, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Three people, including two teens, were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Skagit County.

The Washington State Patrol says that the teen girls were driving on Highway 20 just north of Deception Pass late Saturday, July 6.

As they passed Rosario Road, a driver heading in the opposite direction crossed the center line and smashed into the teens’ car head-on.

The girls, who are from Marysville and Arlington, were taken to Island Hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 28-year-old Oak Harbor man, was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham.

WSP believes that the Oak Harbor man was likely under the influence of drugs or alcohol but charges against him have not been announced.
