PULLMAN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Student workers at WSU took to the picket line Wednesday, but their strike was short-lived.
The bargaining team for WSU’s Coalition of Academic Student Employees-UAW announced a tentative contract agreement with the school shortly after the strike began.
Over 1800 student employees had been seeking an agreement with university administrators for over a year with no success.
The tentative contract includes wage increases, extended family leave time, and more affordable healthcare options.
Union members will vote on ratifying the contract starting on Friday.
