WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Results of Washington’s Presidential Primary are all but decided after the most recent ballot count Thursday evening.

Whatcom County saw a 40% voter turnout for this election, with just 29 votes left to count according to the Auditor’s Office.

Just under 80% of Democratic voters chose current President Joe Biden as their preferred candidate. Notably, nearly 13% of voters picked the “uncommitted candidate” option on the Democratic party side.

For Republican voters, former President Donald Trump received just over 75% of the vote. Nearly 20% of Republican voters marked Nikki Haley as their preferred candidate.

Final results will be certified on March 22.
