BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The suspect wanted in a daytime Bellingham burglary has been taken into custody.

Bellingham Police spokesperson Megan Peters says that officers arrested 20-year-old Tyler Joline Tuesday evening.

Multiple residents in the Whatcom Falls neighborhood reported seeing Joline rummaging around their backyards as early as 9 a.m.

Officers and a K-9 unit chased him through backyards until they found a pile of his clothes near Alvarado Drive.

Joline was later found sleeping in the common area of a building on York St.

He was taken into custody and remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.

Among the items that were stolen, Bellingham Police say that they recovered a bike that Joline used to get away.

Anyone in the Whatcom Falls neighborhood that may have had their bike stolen on Tuesday is asked to contact BPD’s non-emergency number at 360-676-6911.
