OLYMPIA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man is in custody after getting caught vandalizing one of our state Capitol buildings.
Washington State Patrol (WSP) said that a trooper heard suspicious sounds near the Legislative building around 1:15 a.m. Thursday, June 4.
They saw the suspect, identified as a 21-year-old man, throwing rocks at the windows. He fled in a vehicle after another trooper arrived to investigate.
The ensuing pursuit followed the suspect over a wooden pedestrian bridge before he ultimately crashed the car near a park.
