OLYMPIA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Washington state health officials are warning people not to eat certain recalled cheeses.

Sierra Nevada Cheese Company issued a nationwide recall of its Graziers raw milk cheese after the products were linked to at least 13 E. coli infections in nine states.

There haven’t been any reported E. coli cases in Washington connected to the recall yet.

The recalled cheeses include medium cheddar, sharp cheddar, jalapeƱo jack and Monterey jack. Those products were sold at retail in 8-oz and 16-oz packages and were also available to food service customers and wholesalers in 5-lb loaves.

The FDA warns the affected products have a long shelf life and is urging people to check their refrigerators and freezers to throw any of the products away.
