Another Proud Boy from Washington was sentenced Wednesday for his actions during and after the Jan. 6 Capitol breach in 2021.

A member of the extremist white nationalist group the Proud Boys, 44-year-old Marc Bru from Vancouver was found guilty of two felonies – obstruction of an official proceeding and civil disorder – and five misdemeanor charges last October.

During the sentencing, Bru repeatedly interrupted Chief Judge James Boasberg to insult him, calling Boasberg a clown and fraud. He also said he would do it all over again even if he received 100 years in prison.

Bru and others disrupted the U.S. Congress’s joint session to try to prevent counting of the 2020 presidential election’s electoral votes.

According to the court, Bru flew from Portland, Oregon to Washington D.C. the day before the insurrection. He was among the first to cross the restricted perimeter, and verbally harassed Capitol Police officers for nearly two hours along with the crowd.

Around 2:30 p.m., Bru breached the U.S. Capitol with others, making his way to the Senate Gallery where he took selfies. At one point he used a Proud Boys hand sign.

Bru will spend the next six years in prison and three years of supervised release. He will also pay a fine of approximately $8,000 and $2,000 in restitution.
