SEATTLE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Seattle area investigation is looking into a suitcase containing a woman’s body found at a homeless encampment.
During efforts to clear a homeless encampment near the I-5 and I-90 junction in Seattle last week, a suitcase with a woman’s body inside was uncovered.
On Friday, Oct. 4, Washington State Patrol said they have identified the remains as 37-year-old Shannon Marie Caslin Reeder.
She was known to reside in the Seattle area, and detectives have identified the last time she was seen locally as November of 2023. Investigators are putting together a timeline in the moments leading up to her death.
